Animal history

With a logical and easy to mange system to record data on your cows you can get an instant overview of an individual cows life. You can also pinpoint any particular information at the touch of a button. Data that can be recorded includes records on health, reproduction, production, performance, treatments and events, among other things.

You or your vet or nutritionist can call on this data at any time, onsite or remotely (with RFC), to get an instant overview of a particular cow.

Cull decisions

Cull decisions is a handy feature that prompts you to describe why a decision was taken to cull a particular cow. With a complete history of your cull decisions you can follow breeding lines or culling trends over the years on your farm without having to check back in documentation.

Device reports

Device reports allow you to get an historical overview of a particular device. Data such as device alarms and diagnostics are shown on a daily, monthly and annual basis. Your service engineer can then view the reports onsite or remotely (with RFC) to get a clear picture of how the device is operating. In some cases a service engineer may be able to carry out maintenance remotely or advise you on a specific action that can be carried out to rectify a particular issue, thus reducing the need for a farm visit.

Herd events

Herd events gives you an easy-to-view overview of the events that have occurred in your herd. Available in graphical or text format, you can view such things as treatments, culls or cases of mastitis over the past day, week, month year or years.

Direct contact with authorities

Direct contact with third parties

DelPro™ Farm Manager can be securely connected to the internet with the RFC. This means you can remotely access data in your system without fear of viruses or other malware. DeLaval service engineers can also review reports and diagnostics to advice you on your equipment.

Animal list

This function allows you to view a list of all cows in a group or the herd and sort them according to specific criteria such as:

  • males
  • heifers
  • dry
  • milking
  • calving

You can then produce graph or text based reports on the groups within the specific criteria based on any logged data.

The animal card gives you a complete histogram of a cow’s life to date. With a selection of tabs you can view all recorded events, amount of milk produced, number of pregnancies, vaccinations, treatment, etc. You can also view this data in its entirety or within a certain time period. All the data can also be viewed in graph form for easy viewing.

Auto sort rules

The auto sort rules function allows cows to be automatically sorted as and when they meet certain criteria. For example, if you have set DelPro™ Farm Manager to automatically create a list when a cow is due for vaccination she will be guided to the treatment room once she
has passed through the sort gates. This process can be applied to virtually any list.

Batch entry and edit

The Batch entry and edit feature allows you to create your cow lists by batches. This is particularly useful if you want to create and monitor tailored groups that are not catered for in a standard set-up.

Device controls

DelPro™ Farm Manager can be used to control any devices that are connected to it. This means you can view and control a considerable part of your operations from a single point.

Filters

The filters feature allows you to select a specific filter - such as dry cows in the next 14 days – and include this data in all reports and graphs. With this set-up you don’t have to search for this info in every report or re-enter the command in individual fields.

Herd graphs

This feature delivers just what is says, a range of graphs on your herd. Simply choose the fields of data you wish to view and DelPro™ Farm Manager will produce the relevant graphs. This function records the number of times that a cow kicks-off the cluster during milking. If a cow does it on a regular basis you can monitor the individual cow to find out why, and rectify the problem. You can also view this by groups to see if the problem lies with an employee.
